Living with the Cordi is going to be fairly easy; the bikes tiny size and weight make it dead easy to move around and put on the centre stand. Fuel consumption is very good for a two stroke and averages around 2.9L/100kms (81MPG). Unfortunately Daelim neglected to include remote opening for the under seat storage area or any kind of glove box up front. Also on the downside the storage area won’t take a full face helmet unless you have a micro head. Being so small the Daelim feels a little like a toy but will suit smaller riders or learners as its about as intimidating as a house fly wearing boxing gloves. Picture it, a fly on the ground buzzing, trying desperately to lift up two boxing gloves…not very intimidating.

Summing up the Daelim Cordi. This is a tricky one. The Cordi seems quite well built and comes from a quality Korean manufacture. The 50cc scooter market is awfully competitive and many scooters are simply more convenient to own than the Cordi. I don’t see the Cordi swaying the average purchaser from bikes like the Yamaha Jog. The Jog costs approx the same money, performs slightly better and has more features. If your Daelim dealer will offer you an extra aggressive price on the Cordi then I’d give it a test ride as it is certainly rapid. Call it a yes…but only if the price is right. Oh and if you’re tall or heavy person, this is definitely not the scooter for you. If someone saw you riding it they’d think you stole it from a child.

Today is Jan 11th 2011 and I have a 2010 Daelim Cordi that I bought in Oahu in the Hawaiian Islands and I love it more and more. I am from California, I'm 34 and 6'1 190lbs and the Daelim is a blast! I had it derestricted so know it goes 45mph flat land and 50mph down hill. I wish parts were more availible to "fix it up" and even just get basic parts for it. There is only one Daelim Distributor on Oahu and the owner is a dick but the employees are cool. Mopeds Plus 808-955-1550 is the local dealer and I would recomened the Daelim to anyone 190lbs and lighter stock. Email me if you have a connection to getting the original rear tail lights or blinkers instead of those ugly DOT approved lights or if you have any connection to getting more parts for the Daelim Cordi. I have a 2008 daelim cordi scooter.Its a great scooter.The only problem im having is trying to find a replacement cvt belt.I have been all over the net looking for a belt&trying to find out the restrictions it may still have.The web doesnt seem to have much of anything for this brand.Cant find any spects for the engine incase i want to install a big bore kit.One scooter parts salesmen told me the parts distributer went under& there arent any parts distributers in the united states for Daelim.I shoul of bought a Honda they sell parts here in East Jordan Michigan.any one with any good ideas please e-mail me.thank you.
