Well Yamaha have a challenger for the most stupid name in the world contest... What kind of name is "Like" It isn't even a particularly powerful word. What I would like to know is was this name drawn out of a hat, or did Kymco just want desperately for everyone to say... "Like, totally like... ummm... like" Like what? Or perhaps you are supposed to like it more because it says like on the side? Ok end of rant, I guess "Like" isn't too much more ridiculous than "Address" but I think maybe they should have just called it the "Analagous" or the "Equivalent"Â
Anyway, besides the name this looks like a pretty damn nifty product from Kymco/Bug, an obviously retro design based on classics of the '50's and '60's. Judging by the photos they have done a good job. The Like comes in 125cc and 50cc varieties both are 4-stroke 2 valve units. It sounds like braking will be via a dual disc system on the 125 and a disc and drum on the 50. As far as I can tell the top box is also a standard feature along with Halogen headlights. Silly name, ok looking machine, I shall reserve judgement as to whether I like it (sorry, had to put one in there) or not based upon performance.

Got a Kymco Like 125 and it is good. The ride is a bit stiff, but engine torque (pull) will appeal to most demanding riders. Headlamp focus is good and does not flicker nor dim when idling. Very elegant looking scooter. My wish is for Kymco to consider making available an oil cooler as an aftermarket option for Kymco Like 125 for better engine protection.

ir Asian counterparts. They are more status symbols that practical cars for the everyday driver. And they certainly aren't better than the Asian products. I would much rather own a KYMCO, Honda, or Yamaha than a Vespa. I guess I just do report abuse

I have a like 50 2-stroke in Ivory and it is awesome!!! Slow out of the factory but can be adjusted to do 45. I have a 1966 vespa super and several other type scooters and the like holds its own ground.... "Five Star" Real Nice and a real head turner.

I've seen the LIKE at the local Kymco dealer on Beach rd in the city and its fantastic. I love the style and the quality and the price is unbelievable. I'm joining the Kymco revolution!!

I do think this Kymco scooter is great value for money: better warranty AND it's 50% cheaper! You can't go wrong with a Kymco Like! Save 50% on your lifestyle, get a Kymco! (ok perhaps its not as sexy as the real thing....but cheaper....so you can get other things "to improve your lifestyle"..... :P report abuse

Yeah BUT Its more reliable than a Vespa. Cheaper to maintain too. For my money, its wiser to be more practical. Even though I can afford a Vespa, why would I pay 3-5X more when i can get the same performance (even more) with other brands??

Yes, it looks like Vespa, but at half the price and twice the warranty. Vespa's are overpriced. KYMCO beat Vespa in the March '09 Consumer Reports. Vespa is kind of like Mercedes. They have good engineering, but they are way overpriced and not as reliable as their Asian counterparts. They are more status symbols that practical cars for the everyday driver. And they certainly aren't better than the Asian products. I would much rather own a KYMCO, Honda, or Yamaha than a Vespa. I guess I just don't see the sense in paying 50% more for a name. GO KYMCO!!!
