Japanese Modified Scooters |
Ok, look this really is just a blatant excuse to show you some pictures of some incredibly cool scooters out of Japan. I dread to think what they would be like to actually ride... they look decidedly unwieldy. However it is undeniable that they look pretty damned impressive! The engineering that goes into these behemoths must be prodigious... I suspect using some sort of hydraulics must be involved to get the plastic high enough off the deck to ride... Anyway, enjoy the pics... I did. Comments

I don't remember where I read it, but I believe they have hydraulics similar to low rider cars and trucks and can be lifted up and down like their 4 wheel counterparts. Obviously they can not ride down the road as they sit in these pictures. Kind of cool looking in a strange way. I plan on stretching a Honda Reflex, but the plan is to make it an enclosed streamliner like a MonoTracer.(Google that!!)

All the above 4 custom scoots are Suzuki Burgmans, if I'm not mistaken! They have been lowered down to their bellypan, lengthen and stretched rear swingarm and extended exhaust pipes like their car counterparts, Bosozoku-style!
