Suzuki Gemma for 2009 |
Suzuki have surprised us, they showed the Gemma at Milan last year and everyone assumed it was just a design excersise taking advantage of the current scooter modification trends popular in Japan i.e. loooooong and low.
![]() Apparently everyone who saw it and fell in love (thought it was just me) and Suzuki have announce that it will be released in a 250cc version in Japan this year. Potentially there is a 400cc version in the works for the export market. Word has it that the retail version will be essentially the same layout and design as the concept. EXCELLENT! I wish more companies would be this savvy. Comments

Sure, I always love to see scooters with little storage, no wind protection, and the same old analog instuments. Not. Style over function is for people who don't ride much.

Not much storage space. There's nothing under the seats but there's a compartment between your knees that will fit one (very small) helmet. There are also a couple of small glove compartments and another one in the center to put a phone etc.
