Vintage Scooters and More

I couldn't help but mention this collection of classic motor scooters, mopeds and motocycles that is being auctioned by Bonhams in the UK. This is a rare opportunity to lay your hands on some weird, wonderful and downright hard to find stuff. Although there isn't a massive selection of scooters on there, there are some desirable and some wacky machines. Picture if you will a 1958 Lambretta LD150 and 1953 Vespa 125 150 next to a 1947 Gilera 499cc Saturno Sport. Then picture a 1926 Indian Scout tucked up with a 1904 Laurin & Klement CCR Moped and 80's Japanese 2stroke race machines 

This is what happens when a Motorcycle Museum collection gets sold off... and it doesn't happen very frequently, If you happen to be in the market for something old or unusual check it out. There are 423 Lots total including some brochures and advertising material through to engines and of course complete bikes. I had a hard time not spending all day looking at the catalogue, so it is just as well I am far enough away that I can't show up in person... I would no doubt have to find a larger garage... and a mortgage!
